Master of Science in Intellectual Property, in Inventions
To train specialists capable of evaluating, designing, and strategically managing the protection of inventions, through advanced analysis of the state of the art, drafting strategies, procedural management, and infringement prevention; with the aim of promoting research, protecting innovation, and fostering technological development.
InformaciónSpecialization in Invention Patents
Formspecialists for the protection of invention patents, through the evaluation of the legal framework, the execution of prior art searches, and technical drafting (descriptive and claim chapters), in order to optimize the processing, transfer and safeguarding of inventions in technological, industrial entities, etc.

Whose technology are we consuming?
Patent applications for inventions submitted (not granted) in the period 2021-2025:
In Graph 1, we observe the trend year after year. When comparing the applications submitted by Mexicans against those of foreigners.
In Graph 2, Total sum for the period (2021-2025) to find out which country submits the most patent applications in Mexico.
- United States: 35,401 patents.
- Mexico: 5,397 patents.
- China, Germany, Switzerland, and Japan: Close behind and dominating the submissions each year in Mexico.
In conclusion: Only 7% of invention patent applications in Mexico are submitted by Mexicans. The remaining 93% belongs to foreign applicants.
