Since 2014, Gerardo Pastenes Ugalde has been an active and essential advisor at COECYTJAL (State Council of Science and Technology of Jalisco). His deep specialization in Intellectual Property and extensive experience have resulted in the successful management of numerous projects, guiding innovators and companies in Jalisco to access the Council's support calls.

Gerardo Pastenes Ugalde is the CEO and founder of UNAPI, specialized in Intellectual Property with experience in consulting, patent management, and biotechnology. He is notable for his time at IMPI (1998-2011) and his education in genetics (master's degree) and agronomy. Certified by COECyTJAL, he is proficient in English and has been a teacher and speaker at universities.
